For more information, go tosupplychain.fedex.com.--WeHave---.Astrong FedEx brand consistently ranked among the world's most admired andtrusted employers.Atop notch leadership team with the experience needed to grow and develop yourcareer.Anopen mind for new ideas and creative methods.Astrong compensation and benefits package, including health, vision, dental,401k with a strong match and much more!--GeneralSummary---.Thisposition will direct, coordinate and provide oversight to a wide variety ofprojects, including the internal (building preparation) build out of adistribution or returns facility.--Position may oversee an entire project or just part of a project and,although they usually play no direct role in the actual construction of astructure, they typically schedule and coordinate all defined buildingreadiness-related deliverables as they apply to the Facility Prep Manager.-- Key focus of the position is to supportproject schedule milestones in the field necessary for RFIs, RFPs, salespursuits, and won business.-- Position isthe SME of building preparation, creating project building readiness actionitems and is responsible for planning, and overseeing those actions.-- Position is also the "point of contact" forbuilding readiness questions.--This position will beresponsible for---..Manages the buildingprep budget; ensures compliance and addresses variances and other budgetconcerns.Design facility,equipment and material handling solutions for startup/implementationSupportstartup/implementation as neededAutomate and improvefacilitiesEnsure the buildingpreparation gets done on time and within budget.Work with technicians,engineers, contractors, and others who are involved in the building preparationprocess.Review and ensure alldesign aspects by overseeing the planning, scheduling, and implementation ofthe building preparation process to execute those designs.Consolidate buildingpreparation reports, project dates, status and convey clear/accurate reportingto Project Managers and Business units.Coordinatepre/post-construction site walks.Work as a liaisonbetween business unit company real estate contacts/vendors and all internalorganizations on any building preparation questions about the project.Responsible for workingwith company procurement teams in managing materials, logistics and vendors asthe primary point of contact on-site during building startups for orderingneeded materials.Perform feasibilitywalks in collaboration with Real Estate office, Zoning, Permitting andinfrastructure departments.Coordinates estimates,schedules, materials, and purchase orders for defined deliverables for facilityprep actions.Helps site acquisitionin determining the most viable new constructible site.Tracks the progress ofbuilding preparation operations such as the arrival and utilization ofmaterials, supplies, tools, machinery, equipment, and vehicles.Manage detail Scope ofWork-define documentation and troubleshoot issues to avoid delays orescalation.Provides change orderrequests (scope changes) for General Contractor changes, to the business unitassigned PM or GM and ensures approval is received prior to scope change workis performed.Qualification:You might be a greatfit if---.Education/ExperienceBachelor's Degree inEngineering preferred or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience.In lieu of degree, highschool diploma or GED and 10+ years of relevant experience.Span of control must beat a department level or above.Must be proficient withMicrosoft Project.PMP certification ishighly preferred.Excellent oral andwritten communication skills.Possess the ability tomotivate and maintain effective working relationships.Ability to rely onexperience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Experience managingothers including contractors and suppliers.Working knowledge ofbuilding construction, including electrical systems, HVAC systems, plumbingsystems for fire suppressants and building foundations.Working knowledge ofbuilding codes.--Physical/Cognitive RequirementsWith orwithout accommodation\:Ability to followpolicies and procedures.Ability to read, writeand interpret information.Ability to add,subtract, multiply and divide.Ability to use hands tofinger, handle, or feel.Ability tosit/walk/stand for up to 8 hours per day.--Ability tointermittently crawl, squat, climb, twist, bend, stoop, push or pull.Must possess visualacuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and theability to adjust focus.ADA-FedExSupply Chain will make reasonable accommodations in compliance with theAmericans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
