Description:Advanced Urology Institute-Our mission is to advance

AUI is currently seeking a motivated individual to grow with us in
our Largo office.Ultrasound TechnicianThe Ultrasound Technician is
under general supervision of the Practice Manager or RN/LPN and is
involved in a variety of ultrasound procedures that create images
of patient internal organs for the purpose of detecting pathology.
The Ultrasound Technician functions under the direct guidance of
the physician and or RN/LPN.DUTIES:Greeting patient and bringing
patient to the exam roomReviewing patient history, chief
complaint/reason for visit, taking vital signs, preparing patients
for examination and documenting in the EHRSetting up for procedures
completed by physicians with sterile or aseptic field and supplies
as requiredAssisting physician with setting up and performing
Prostate Biopsies and documenting in the EHR /medical
record.Performing other patient care procedures under the direction
of the physician including Abdominal, Pelvic, Trans-vaginal,
Trans-rectal, Bladder and Penile Doppler sonograms and documenting
in the EHR/medical record.Performing specimen collection, and
labeling using two patient identifiers, including urinalysis and
Prostate biopsy, according to established
policy/procedure.Communicating and working with other team members
in delivering safe and efficient patient care.Disinfecting
/cleaning and sterilizing equipment and maintaining supplies
according to established policy/procedure and office
protocol.Assisting the physician with efficient time management for
patient flow during office hoursWorking efficiently with office
equipment, including computer software use, copying, faxing and
scanning documents, including scanning all images and documentation
into the EHRAssisting with other general/office duties as directed
by the Office Manager/RN/LPNMaintaining HIPAA privacy regulations
and Confidentiality with all patient PHI (Protected Health

Requirements:Must be a graduate of an accredited Ultrasound
Technician ProgramAn Associate's Degree in Ultrasound TechnologyIn
addition, registration with one of the two recognized medical
diagnostic sonography organizations is preferred: The American
Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or the American Registry
of Radiological Technologists.Previous experience as an Ultrasound
Technician is preferred.
