This is a Temp to Perm, benefit-eligible position. Job Responsibilities- Load, unload and move materials within or near plant, warehouse, storage facility or worksite.- Work with the team to improve current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goals- Maintain system critical data elements- May monitor shipping performance to Delivery Tracking Schedule (DTS) and ensure movement of product from production through packaging to shipping- Perform materials analysis and maintains records as required in support of cycle counting operations and performance measurement- Read work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved- Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand- Load materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools- Convey materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truck, electric dolly, Forklift, or other device- Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system- Attach tags or label to materials or otherwise marks information- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization- Work under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexityQualifications- High school diploma or GED- Two or more years experience- May require forklift certificationTaking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
