Description:Superintendent will oversee multiple commercial concrete projects in the Tampa areaPrimary responsibility is to get the job set up properly, ensure materials are on site, materials for the next day are ordered, and layout of the forms is accurate. 60-70% of the work is concrete foundations, slabs, columns and beams. Remainder is masonry block and tilt wallOn site before the crews show up, verify materials onsiteMeet with GC superintendent to plan and ensure work areas are ready for the next dayCheck on crews throughout the dayAt the end of each day, reviewing plans for upcoming projects, order materials for next few daysWork with Survey crew for layout, ensure layout is perfect, right location, measurement, and directionResponsibilities include:Management of multiple jobs simultaneouslyMake sure crew leads understand the top priorities of the job and that they know the details of the planBe familiar with the plans and communicate with leadersManage CrewCoordinate crew leaders, carpenters and laborers for their jobsInitiate and manage communication between team leads and purchasing dept (I.e make sure that timely ordering is getting done by leaders in coordination with purchasing)Work with leaders to make sure they code time correctlyReview reports on time allocation by leadersEvaluate and mentor leaders Reward or discipline crew leads and encourage leads to do the same with crewManage business:Performance and profitability of each jobCoordinate between customer superintendents and other OBC management (e.g. make sure PM knows about changes requested by customer)Facilitate documentation and authorization of changes before proceeding with the changeCollect time clock data each Monday Work with office to implement new processes and proceduresConstantly watch for safety violations and make correctionsSkills:Concrete, Construction, Carpentry, rebar, masonry, structural concrete, commercial construction, tilt up, concrete foundation, construction layout, rough carpentryTop Skills Details:concrete constructionconcrete foundationconcrete columnsconstruction layoutAdditional Skills & Qualifications:5+ years in concrete construction in a supervisory role.Proven ability to read plans, do take offs for materials and start project layout and ensure layouts are accurate prior to pouringExpert in rebar and rough form carpentry About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
