PRIMARY PURPOSE:A)Obtain the materials used in the manufacture and distribution of the products sold to customers, supplies, services and equipment.B)Maintain high quality relationships with existing vendors as well as searching for new or alternating vendors.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:A)Issue all commercial raw material purchase orders as required per production forecast.B)Maintain reliable vendor sources for all raw materials used in manufacturing, as well as maintaining good relationships with vendors.C)Identify and establish new vendor sources as needed.D)Develop strategies and negotiate with vendors to achieve best possible pricing and terms with the vendors based on company needs.E)Maintain satisfactory inventory levels of raw materials, packaging and products for resale by establishing minimum and maximum inventory levels and reorder quantities.F)Manage purchase quantities to obtain optimum inventory levels to prevent stockouts and achieve working capital targets.G)Work closely with Quality / Inspection Department to resolve quality issues.H)Collaborate with Planning, Customer Satisfaction and Operations to adjust orders to meet customer requirements.I)Promptly communicate any critical material pricing and availability changes to Planning, Finance and Customer Satisfaction.J)Meet purchasing financial standards by providing annual budget information, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.K)Manage open orders and expedite as required to ensure on time delivery.L)Maintain pricing, delivery dates and inventory data in a timely manner for ERP system.M)Daily review, purchase and schedule of deliveries for all alcohol and propellant tanks to maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet production.N)Assist Product Management and I&D in sourcing of new materials per required specifications as needed.QUALIFICATION:?4 year business or equivalent degree preferred.?Must have a strong sense of urgency and is improvement and quality driven.?Ability to multi-task in faced paced environment.CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:A)Vendor Relationships-including Off-Shore SuppliersB)Solid Negotiating SkillsC)Supply Chain ManagementD)Manufacturing Methods and ProceduresE)Quality Standards - FDA EnvironmentF)Materials Resource Planning (MRP)COMPUTER SKILLS:?MS Office product skills?Navision experience a plus (not required)
