We are currently acquiring a well-regarded, single-doctor small animal clinic in the Sarasota area with over twenty years of loyal client relationships, a dedicated support team, and extremely strong local reputation. We are looking for a driven veterinarian to step in as the lead clinician and day-to-day operator, someone who will carry forward the standard of care this practice is known for while building the next chapter alongside our team. Role Description: This is a rare opportunity to lead an established small animal practice from day one, not as a corporate associate, but as the primary veterinarian and operational leader of a thriving neighborhood clinic. You will serve as the sole DVM on-site, managing a full caseload across wellness, diagnostics, surgery, and urgent care while also overseeing the clinical team, client experience, and daily operations. The outgoing owner will remain on-site during a structured transition period to introduce you to long-standing clients and ensure a seamless handoff. You will have meaningful input into practice direction, and our firm handles the business infrastructure, finance, HR, compliance, vendor management, so you can focus on medicine and people. Qualifications: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an AVMA-accredited institution Active Florida veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain one prior to start) DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain one) Clinical experience in small animal general practice, including surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics Demonstrated ability or strong readiness to manage day-to-day practice operations independently Excellent client communication skills and a genuine, relationship-driven approach to care Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable taking ownership of outcomes and building something lasting
