Job Description Optometrist Ocala, Florida We’re hiring an Optometrist in Ocala, Florida who wants predictable weekday hours, strong benefits, and the autonomy of running a clinic without weekend demands. You’ll step into an outpatient clinical role focused on comprehensive eye exams, ocular disease management, and routine vision care. This is a single-provider setting with full clinical and front office support, giving you independence while still having a team behind you. Why this role is compelling • Monday to Friday schedule (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) • No call and no weekends • Approximately 16 patients per day • True autonomy in a solo-provider model • Flexible structure with 40 hours preferred and 32 hours considered • Established workflows and EHR system • Stable outpatient environment What makes you a great fit • You are a licensed Doctor of Optometry (OD) in the state of Florida • You are comfortable practicing independently • You enjoy patient education and relationship-based care • You manage ocular disease and routine optometric services confidently • You value consistency and clinic stability • New graduates are welcome Compensation & Benefits • Base salary: $120,000 to $155,000 (40 hours; prorated for 32 hours) • 100% employer-paid medical insurance for employee-only coverage (30 hours) • Dental and vision coverage • 401(k) with 100% match on the first 5% after one year plus 457 option • 20 days PTO plus 8 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday • $2,500 CME allowance plus 5 CME days • HSA with up to $1,000 employer contribution • Malpractice coverage If you want an Optometrist role where you can practice independently, avoid weekends, and build steady patient relationships, this is worth a conversation.
