Job Description:
HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled CT
Technologist PRN to join our esteemed healthcare team. In this
role, you will be responsible for operating computerized tomography
(CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients’
internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of anatomy,
pathology, and patient care, and have strong technical proficiency
in CT equipment. As a PRN staff member, you will provide flexible,
as-needed coverage that supports the ongoing needs of our dynamic
imaging department. Operate CT equipment to capture high-quality
diagnostic images according to physician orders and according to
established practices and procedures. Maintain patient safety and
comfort throughout the procedure. Prepare and maintain operational
logs, reports and records in compliance with health regulations.
Work closely with radiologists to ensure accurate information is
provided for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Administer
contrast media under the direction of a physician, ensuring
adherence to established guidelines. Regularly inspect CT equipment
to ensure proper operation and report any malfunctions or
discrepancies. Proven ability to operate complex medical equipment
safely and effectively, especially CT scanners. Strong
understanding of cross-sectional body anatomy, physiological
processes and radiology procedures. Exceptional communication and
interpersonal skills, capable of explaining procedures to patients
and addressing their concerns. Detail-oriented with strong
analytical and problem-solving skills. Medical Insurance Dental

certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). State
licensure as required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Additional certification in CT technology preferred.
