Job Description Sabal Palms Health & Rehabilitation is seeking Pediatric Respiratory Therapists (CRT or RRT) to join our Pediatrics clinical team This individual will work in the Pediatrics Skilled Care Unit and train Pediatrics nurses as Respiratory Nurses as well for full support. Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a Wage: $40/hour, based on experience Bonus: $3000 Sign-On or Relocation The primary purpose of this position is to administer medically prescribed programs and treatments to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or impairment. Utilizes training and clinical skills to assess patients and participates in the development of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation plan of care, where applicable. Under the daily direction of the Rehabilitation Services Coordinator, coordinates and maintains a schedule which involves approximately 75% direct patient care activities. Eligibility may vary by position, average hours worked, length of service, and/or location Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Administers therapy programs for patients in accordance with state practice acts, company policies, and physician prescriptions to help individuals achieve maximum functional ability. Follows recognized standards of care and applicable reimbursement guidelines. Utilizes company systems for scheduling, documentation, productivity tracking, and clinical supervision of support staff. Ensures efficiency in workload management and equitable distribution of duties across the therapy team. Performs timely patient assessments, treatments, and documentation in compliance with company standards and reimbursement requirements. Promotes customer satisfaction and fosters positive working relationships with facility and company staff. Adheres to safe work practices, including proper body mechanics and safe automobile use, and promotes a culture of safety among coworkers. E ducation and Experience Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Licensing/Certifications Certified OR Registere d License in Respiratory therapy in state where position is located. The primary purpose of this position is to assess, treat, and manage patients with breathing difficulties or cardiopulmonary disorders by performing diagnostic tests, administering respiratory therapies like oxygen therapy and aerosol medications, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients on managing their lung conditions; they work closely with physicians to develop treatment plans and often operate specialized medical equipment.
