The Occupational Therapy Assistant performs his/her duties in accordance with policies and procedures and the established plan of care. /n /n /n /n - Responsible for following all state specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care, to follow the treatment set only as defined by the supervising OT. /n /n /n /n /n - Following the plan of care, instructs and aids patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant and according to the state laws governing occupational therapy assistants. /n /n /n /n /n - Observes, records, and reports to the supervising OT, the nurse supervisor, and/or the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition. Coordinates care with the other members of the healthcare team as appropriate. /n /n /n /n /n /n /n - Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other members of the health care team in the areas of therapy within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant. /n /n /n License Requirements /n /n - Current OTA licensure in the state of Florida /n - Current CPR certification /n - Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle /n /n
