Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: NICU Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Respiratory Therapist Certifications: Must-Have: NRP certification Preferred: STABLE certification Description: The position involves working in a Level 3 NICU setting. The unit typically has 36 beds. There are 2 Therapists during night shifts for optimal coverage. The standard patient-to-therapist ratio is maintained during peak volumes. Key equipment includes Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A Oscillators, and Nitric Oxide systems. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech and NeoNotes. Candidates must have experience in ventilator management and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation. Surfactant administration and blood gas acquisition are key responsibilities. A positive attitude and strong critical thinking skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and able to work independently.
