We partner with our Nurses at HCA Florida Largo Hospital!Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.What you will do in this role:
  • Care for transplant, oncology, and medical patients such as pre and post kidney and liver transplant, transfusion and cancer patients, dialysis patients, GI bleeds, sickle cell, and transplant & Oncology patients. Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
  • Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.What qualifications you will need:
    • Licensure -as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
    • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
    • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
    • Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
