Key Duties

  • Diagnosing and treating complex medical conditions in animals, including those related to the digestive, cardiovascular, respiratory, and urinary systems.
  • Conducting comprehensive physical exams and laboratory tests, such as blood work, X-rays, and ultrasound, to diagnose and monitor medical conditions.
  • Developing treatment plans, including medications, therapies, and dietary recommendations, to manage and treat medical conditions.
  • Communicating with pet owners and referring veterinarians to provide updates on the pet's condition, prognosis, and recommended treatment.
  • Collaborating with other veterinary specialists, such as surgeons and radiologists, to provide comprehensive care for pets with multiple or complex medical conditions.
  • Staying current with advances in veterinary medicine and continuously updating their knowledge and skills to provide the best care for their patients.
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records, documenting all diagnostic and treatment plans, and updating them regularly.Package and Benefits

      • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
      • Successful completion of a rigorous three-year residency program in veterinary internal medicine, accredited by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM).
      • Successful passing of the certification examination given by the ACVIM.
      • Active veterinary license in good standing in the state where they practice.
      • Strong clinical skills, including physical examination and diagnostic procedures such as laboratory tests, radiography, and ultrasonography.
      • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with pet owners, referring veterinarians, and other veterinary specialists.
      • Knowledge of current veterinary medical practices and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
      • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and tasks simultaneously.
