Overall, the Child Welfare Diversion Specialist contributes to strengthening families by delivering proactive behavioral health, case management, and community and early childhood solutions.Position Responsibilities -Provide specialized assistance to Child Welfare teams and the children and families in care. -Coordinate planning strategies and maintain positive relationships with agencies and - - - - -community members as applicable.Maintain close contact with approved providers of care and secure daily reports of bed availability. -Assist with assessment of client's behavioral and emotional needs to determine the best possible home match. -Assist with the physical placement of the child. -Attend related meetings and inform necessary parties of procedural problems, changes, and placement issues. -Conduct home visits. -Attend placement staffing meetings, as needed. -Prepare documentation for and attend/testify in court hearings. -Provide on-call support after hours.Qualifications*Bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field from an accredited university, required.*Master's in Social work or related field from an accredited university, preferred.* -
