ConceptThis is a professional exempt position, responsible for
providing supervision to case management staff delivering
protective services, foster care and adoption related services
within CBC. The supervision will focus on the safety and permanency
of the children and attainment of specific performance standards
and outcomes. Essential Functions
- Provide direct supervision to case managers; Provide effective
role modeling and face-to-face supervision weekly to each case
- Assist the Program Director with the administrative oversight,
quality control, and fiscal management according to Agency and/or
CBC policy and procedure.
- Advocate for CBC and the children and families it serves.
- Assist in ensuring that quality standards are met and reviewed
- Assist with the supervision and the delivery of reports through
the management information system and as required by the contract,
quality assurance and licenser.
- Ensure that all employees under direct supervision will perform
their duties and evaluate them according to EYA standards and CBC
policies and procedures.
- Provide training to employees under direct supervision
according to the CBC training plan and as appropriate to all CBC
- Serve as a resource regarding community resources and
professional skill-building for employees under direct supervision
and as appropriate to all CBC employees.
- Model and facilitate a CBC working environment that fosters
professional growth, personal initiative, and shared
- Assist in and support public relations efforts.
- Abide by the CBC Incident Reporting procedures and Agency
Incident Reporting policy and procedure as applicable.
- Oversee development and maintenance of appropriate
documentation and concurrent planning in accordance with
administrative regulation and according to Agency and/or CBC policy
- Participate in on-call system per Agency and/or CBC policy and
- Intervene and assist Agency/CBC staff in crisis situations, as
- Follow policies and procedures of Agency and CBC.
- Attend and participate in staffing reviews, administrative
reviews/staffing's, judicial reviews, permanency staffing's, school
staffing's, CPT staffing's, meetings, etc., on an as needed basis
and to monitor quality assurance issues.
- Attend and participate in professional development training for
professional growth as developed by CBC, as required by the state
of Florida and in accordance with Agency policy and
- Meet at least once per week with entire unit and provides one
on one supervision to case managers a minimum of once per
- Assist the Program Director and Management Team in a timely
manner to complete necessary reports.
- Ensure adherence to statutory, administrative code, Agency and
CBC policy and procedure time lines and case progress.
- Complete assigned paperwork in compliance with standards,
including time sheets, mileage logs, leave requests, employees'
performance reviews, client records, client appointments and
management information system.
- Provide quality services to clients and families as evidenced
by assessment of services and the quality improvement system.
- Complete foster care forms within established time
lines.Position SpecificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree from an
accredited university in the area of psychology, social work, or
other related human service field required. Master's degree
preferred, and may substitute for two of the required years
experience. Must have child welfare certification.Experience: -
Four years directly relevant experience required, and three years
leadership/supervision experience required. Skills: - Ability to
practice all Eckerd Conencts policies and procedures related to
privacy and security practices cited in the Health Insurance
Portability and Privacy Act (HIPPA) applicable to my program and
position; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Public
speaking skills; Must be highly motivated and self-directed.
Knowledge of community resources, service referrals and linkage,
and child development; including physical, mental, emotional and
cultural and ethnicity issues required. Ability to work under
stressful situations with poise; Must attend relevant
skills-enhancement training and demonstrate required program
specific knowledge. Must be computer literate. Detail and
organizational skills critical. Time management skills necessary to
accomplish this position. Ability to motivate staff to achieve
superior outcomes.Physical Demands: - Ability to regularly
lift/move up to 25 pounds; Ability to work irregular schedule as
required to complete work assignments successfully; Must have
reliable transportation & ability to use personal car to transport
clients. There may be potential exposure to clients that may
exhibit physically and/or verbally aggressive behaviors. There may
be potential exposure to communicable diseases. Be familiar with
the facility's fire prevention/first aid equipment, evacuation
routes, exposure control and disaster plans. Maintain client and
staff contact information and evacuation plan in the event of a
natural disaster and must have availability for contact for self
during a natural disaster. Must be free of communicable disease as
defined by the appropriate state and to the extent that knowledge
is attainable under the law.Other: -Must have appropriate and valid
state driver's license, and current automobile insurance. Must meet
