Job Description:

The PV Solar and Energy Engineer will design permit-ready plan sets for solar PV and battery storage projects. Plan sets must be code-compliant and adhere to local AHJ/utility requirements as well as customer specifications. The engineer will be responsible for performing electrical calculations as part of the design process. The candidate will also work cross-functionally with field techs and inside operations personnel to complete the full permit package. Health insurance available. PTO offered after 90 days.

Responsibilities:
--- Design the overall system layout, including module/array and battery locations, conduit, and access paths, as well as other equipment locations.
--- Design of the PV System from module-level all the way to the inverter, including the single-line and three-line diagrams.
--- Perform engineering calculations such as voltage drop, minimum and maximum voltages, wind loads, etc.
--- Make corrections as requested by the client and/or AHJs and update the plans as necessary.
--- Assist with the permitting process.
--- Create a BOM and assist the project managers as needed.
--- Provide technical support to the business development team in bidding new projects and help with proposals.

Qualifications:
--- Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Florida.
--- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.(Renewables, Electrical, or Energy Engineering preferred).
--- 2 years of experience in the solar and storage field.
--- Working knowledge of the NEC.
--- Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
--- Must be a team player
--- Must have excellent interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills.
