We are truly a positive, growth-minded team environment.Job SummaryThis assistant role in the Accounting department provides necessary assistance to our Accountant with data entry, posting, scanning, and other various duties. Light Bookkeeping or Accounting within an insurance agency experience is preferred but not required. ***THIS IS AN IN OFFICE POSITION, WORK FROM HOME IS NOT AVAILABLE***Responsibilities and DutiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Entering of Direct Bill Commissions into Agency Management system.
  • Gathering of Commission statements from various company websites, email, etc.
  • Updating and maintaining various excel spreadsheets.
  • Scanning and attaching various accounting documents into Agency Management system.
  • Preparing deposits
  • Posting of payments and documenting into Agency Management system.
  • Running reports
  • Payment of invoices
  • Performing other work-related duties as assigned Qualifications and Skills
    • Bookkeeping or Accounting experience preferred but not required
    • Data entry or accounting experience in an insurance agency preferred but not required
    • Digitally literate: Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, email, internet, digital office equipment.
    • Applied TAM or other Agency management system experience is a bonus!
    • Accuracy and organization is a must!
    • Must possess a positive, pleasant, "can do" attitude
    • A commitment to providing clients with outstanding customer service experience
