As a Staff Accountant, you will be in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank and account reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. Throughout the monthly close, you will also be responsible for various aspects of analysis. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This company, based in the Tampa Bay, Florida area, offers a challenging and multi-faceted opportunity where effort is rewarded.Your responsibilities- Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision- Participate in various department-wide initiatives- Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation- Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable- Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request- Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation- In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations- Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP- Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting- Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries- Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments- Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooksContact Jen Easley directly at 727-369-1683 for consideration Requirements - Demonstrated knowledge of Reconcile Vendor Statements- Consolidated Balance Sheet experience preferred- Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience- Proficiency in Ledger Account Analysis- Analyze Financial Statements experience- General ledger experience preferred- General familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)- Adeptness in financial statement preparation- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics- Recent and relevant accounting experience- Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills- Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases- Efficient in ERP systems Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
